The owners of our clinic — Dr. Antal Rengei, Dr. János Szalay and Dr. László Perényi — have been working together in the healing of companion animals since 1991.
We established our veterinary clinic in Szeged with the aim of continuously developing our professional knowledge and actively participating in a wide range of professional training programs.
Thanks to our individual areas of interest, we have specialized in different fields, allowing us to support pet owners and their companions with broad experience and up-to-date expertise.
Today, we stand behind 40 years of professional experience and more than 130,000 treated patients.
Among them, we have had the privilege of caring for approximately 75–80,000 animals from puppyhood through to old age, which is a particular honor for us.
Pet owners who visit our clinic most often highlight our outstanding professional expertise, advanced technical background, family-like atmosphere, and effective teamwork.
Our clinic’s professional reputation is further demonstrated by the fact that many veterinarians within a 100 km radius refer their patients to us for specialized care, after which treatment continues in their own practices based on our recommendations.
“Sadly, we lost our cat, but they helped her cross to the ‘eternal hunting grounds’ with the greatest humanity and respect. At every stage of the examinations, we were carefully informed about what to expect and were given time to make decisions. A fantastic team!”
— The Rácz-Szabó Family
“5 stars ***** — maximum humanity, helpfulness, and professional expertise all in one place. I believe this is all a responsible pet owner could ever need. We can always turn to the staff of the Ambulance and receive thorough, honest answers. I often received advice by phone without even needing to bring the animal in. The fee? Personally, I would dig up the amount from underground if my pets’ lives and health were at stake. Last year, I brought in a rescued kitten with hydrocephalus, and at the end of the examination the doctor said there would be no charge — this was their contribution to the rescue. The final amount would have been tens of thousands otherwise. This is the kind of team the Ambulance has. We are deeply grateful and will definitely remain regular patients.”

“I am convinced that only a good person can become a good veterinarian. That’s why I have been coming here for nearly 30 years. Thank you.”
— Róbert Hujber
“Highly qualified, animal-loving, honest doctors, kind staff, and a well-equipped clinic. Your pet is in the best hands if you come here. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic!”
— Mónika Ágnes Gyuris
“We love coming here — everyone is kind to both owners and patients. We always receive all the necessary information. Since her surgery, Liza’s kneecap has completely recovered, and she can jump and run again. Médy’s heartworm disease is also being treated here and is progressing well toward full recovery.”
— Emese Bató
“I would rate them with 5 stars and 5 key qualities: outstanding expertise, incredible team harmony, conscientiousness, honesty, and humanity. They represent values that are more than enough to ensure I will never take our pets anywhere else again. I can only recommend them — the best! 🙂 Many veterinarians could learn from them — those who truly put animals’ interests first and spare no time or energy in their work.
(Kuci greets everyone with a grateful wag of the tail 🙂 )”

“We give thanks to God for the knowledgeable and caring work of Dr. Antal Rengei and the staff of the Szeged Small Animal Ambulance. Duffy gave us 14 years of selfless love and was our loyal friend and companion throughout his life. Through him, we experienced unconditional love. Thank you.”
“Bolháska 1999–2015. We express our infinite gratitude to Dr. László Perényi for his heartfelt and always attentive care.”
— The Lele Family
“Dear Doctors, words cannot express my feelings and gratitude for what you did to save my two British cats. That is why we turn to poets to speak for us:
‘You will not be disappointed. It does not speak, so it does not lie; it makes no promises, yet gives everything. It says nothing, yet speaks more than any human ever could.’”
— Icu
