The owners of our company — Dr. Antal Rengei, Dr. János Szalay, and Dr. László Perényi — have been working together in the field of small animal medicine since 1991. We founded our company and established our veterinary clinic in Szeged in order to continuously participate in nearly all professional training opportunities within small animal medicine, to develop and innovate constantly, and — based on our individual interests — to specialize in various fields. This allows us to provide comprehensive and high-quality care for the pet owners who turn to us.
Our approximately 40 years of professional experience and more than 130,000 treated patients (of whom around 75–80,000 were under our care from puppyhood through to old age) form the foundation of our work. Pet owners who visit our clinic most often highlight our exceptional professional expertise, outstanding technical background, family-like atmosphere, and strong teamwork as our greatest strengths.
Veterinarians from within a 100 km radius regularly refer their patients to us for specialized care, after which they continue treatment in their own practices based on our professional guidance.
Our Puppy School, which is unique in Hungary, helps newly welcomed puppies and their owners quickly learn how to live together in harmony. This makes their relationship more joyful, safer, and more carefree. The positive feedback from “graduated owners” and the dogs’ happy visits to our clinic strongly reinforce our commitment to this program.
Decades of studying the relationship between nutrition and disease — combined with practical application and the appreciative feedback of owners whose pets live longer and healthier lives — continue to motivate us in this field.
For this reason, in addition to pet accessories, our shop offers products from the Eukanuba/IAMS and Virbac Vetcomplex food ranges, including both general and veterinary diets.
Providing proper care for senior animals is especially close to our hearts. We place great emphasis on the early diagnosis of age-related diseases, as early detection often significantly improves recovery chances and quality of life. Treating older pets can be particularly challenging, as multiple interconnected conditions may occur simultaneously. Their care requires complex treatment plans, patience, and extensive professional expertise.
Specialized procedures — such as anesthesia adapted to senior patients and age-appropriate treatment methods — play a key role in ensuring the safest and most gentle solutions possible.
Our appointment-based patient admission system, introduced more than 30 years ago, significantly reduces waiting times in most cases. Naturally, due to the nature of our work, some cases may exceed the planned timeframe, and urgent cases may also arise unexpectedly. Most of our clients understand and accept this, knowing that we dedicate as much time to each patient as necessary.
The continuous presence of four veterinarians, the support of highly trained assistants, and the opportunity for internal professional consultations are highly valued by our clients. This structure also allows every pet owner to find the veterinarian they feel most comfortable with, while the rest of the team remains available in the background whenever additional support is needed.
